you could mix it in milk, or make sure you're drinkin casein instead of whey. Or just eat a lot of eggs before bed. All of these will be slow release. Hope that helps.

Dont use whey before you go to bed. Dont drink milk before you go to bed either. It contains to many high glycemic carbs. Just find a good casein protein to drink befroe bedtime. I know Optimum Nutrition has one out now.

I just competed on May 14 in an NPC show, and I learned a trick for late night protein. I talked to one of the super-heavys, and he got second, so you know he knows what he's talking about. He told me this.
Directly before bed have about 1 cup or so oatmeal, 1 cup or so cottage cheese, 1 tablespoon flax, and 1 gram vitamin c. This rocks because the cottage cheese is naturally a fantastic source of slow releasing casein protein, and the fiber in the oatmeal slows that down even more, plus it adds good complex CHO, and then the flax oil slows the release of the protein EVEN MORE!!!, and also has all the benefits of the omega 3,6,9's. The vit C helps with tissue repair. How great is that. Hope that helps.

You might want to look into a whey/micellar casein blend. Xtreme Formulations makes one of the best right now, called Ultra Peptide.

I'm using VPX Micellean right now. Once in the morning, and once before bed.
Whey during the day.
It's not bad, but I'd probably add raw oatmeal to it and bump up the fiber content. Alone, Micellean is already 7.5g of fiber, which is great, but oatmeal could help reach 25g per day.

I've used VPX micellean MRP before and liked it. Its pricey though.
I haven't tried Xtreme formulations Ultra Peptide yet, but I do like milk protein isolate in general.
Speaking of whey/micellar casein blends I'm suprised these haven't been more popular. In my mind there are some solid reasons why they might work better and its not entirely about digestion rates either.
Even a little bit of egg white has advantages.
