I donīt want to make any offence... but an optical rotation is only relevant when a concentration and the solvent are mentioned. I am not sure about the importance of this value since a small minority of the users here will ever be able to measure an optical rotation.
Besides that, for steroids ORD (optical rotational dispersion) ist a better choice...

I m agree with you on that this info about optical rotation is superfluous but the rest of infos. is very helpful when you are doing some conversions, it is necessary to heat to the melting point of the hormone, to get a clear solution. also the molecular weight info is helpfull to determine which PEG to us in an oral conversion.
